Well, I am sorry that I have been rather quiet lately, but I swear I had good reason. Last Saturday, Jordan and I welcomed our little boy into the world.
I'm never really sure just how much detail people want, so as for now, I will leave it for the light version. We knew all along that I wouldn't make it to 40 weeks, but at 36 weeks we started talking induction due to medical complications, and I ended up starting the induction process on Thursday November 19th, and had my son on Saturday November 21st.
While I'll spare you the intimate details, I will tell you this, I have never felt more excited, nervous, and powerful as I did in labour. We went in without a plan because we knew that we would have a slightly complicated labour, but we were lucky to have great nurses who were able to guide us through the labour process and great doctors too.
I feel very lucky and blessed to have my son with me. It took us a long time to get to where we are today, and it's hard to believe that he's already a week old. I din't realize how much your heart could grow and how quickly.
All this being said, I am still a first time mom and am completely open to different resources and blogs and what not - so please help a girl out and leave them in the comments below!
I love to cook, entertain, craft and create - all while being a wife, friend, daughter and a mom to a little boy.
